Our Mission
Robertson County Reads, our county's chapter of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, provides a new, age-appropriate hard cover book each month to children from birth to age five at no cost to the family.
Funded half by a grant from the Governor's Books from Birth Foundation and half by Robertson County businesses, groups and individuals, this program has currently enrolled over 1,800 Robertson County children, nearly 50% of those eligible. Additionally, over 1,100 children have "graduated" from the program after reaching their 5th birthday bringing the total number of children served to date to almost 3,000!
Robertson County Reads is in critical need of sustainable funding to keep our program available. We are seeking 2,000 "One Child, One Year" Sponsors who will pledge to donate $15 per year to cover book amd mailing costs for one child.
